"NO WAY HE CAN REACH THAT!"
You know what really "tees me off?", waiting on the tee box while one guy in the group ahead is waiting for the green to clear before hitting his second shot to the par 5.
I'm not talking about a guy who has even a remote chance of reaching it. I'm talking about the guy you've been playing behind all day who has yet to hit a drive over 225 yards. He's now 270 yards off the green on this 490 yard Par 5 and he's standing out there with his hands on his hips!
Meanwhile back at the tee you're losing any sense of rhythm you had going for you from the last hole. Invariably when this knucklehead does finally hit, he dribbles one over the hill and disappears over the horizon after it. Of course that's when the group behind you pulls up and sees you standing there with "no one in front of you" looking like you're the reason this round is taking 5 hours!
Do us all a favor, if you've never hit a shot in your life that can reach the green from where you're at, HIT THE BALL AlREADY!! (imaginary great shots in your sleep don't count) You'll speed up play for all of us, and take a lot of pressure off yourself knowing that everyone behind you isn't talking about how much you SUCKATGOLF!
