Blair's Bio

Born May 14, 1981, Blair Alana O' Neal waited 11 years before picking up her first sandwedge. By age 12, golf became an all out passion for Blair and she found herself practicing long hours every day with her father on the driving range. By age 13 she was good enough to be selected to the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team in Valderrama Spain, and to the AJGA Cannon Cup Team! (She was also a runner-up in the Woman's Western Tournament and medallist at the AJGA Ping Phoenix Jr. Championship!)

In high school, Blair was a three-time medallist at the 5A Regional Golf Championship, four-time Golf MVP and the Arizona State Golf Champion in 1998-99. At the age of 17, Blair Alana caught the attention of the Arizona State University golf coach, Linda Vollstedt, who aggressively recruited Blair. As a Sun Devil Blair won 2 out of 3 NCAA Long Drive contests, making her one of the longest hitters in college golf! (get those long drive tips questions ready people!)

After graduating as Captain of the golf team and with a degree in Communications, Blair turned pro in January 2004. She's competed in the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour, the Futures Tour and two events with the Orient Masters in China. In the summer of 2007, Blair was selected by Nike to teach with the Nike Golf School in San Diego, CA.

In addition to being a professional golfer, the 5'10" blonde is represented by FORD Models and Sports Unlimited Talent who have presented her the opportunity to model on runways, print ads, catalogs, magazine covers, websites and commercial advertisements all over the U.S. and Asia!

In 2008 Blair was named by SPORTS ILLUSTRATED "One of the Hottest 50 Athletes of All-Time". Shortly after she gained votes from millions of web users, InGameNow.com, and Sports Illustrated fans in the "World's Hottest Athlete" contest! Blair made it to the Final Four!

Her most recent venture will be airing on The GOLF CHANNEL this May, 2009. She is one of the newest (and prettiest!)contestants to compete on BIG BREAK: PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND!

Blair is an amazing young athlete with an already amazing resume of accomplishments! We're thrilled that Blair's agreed to join our growing staff of golf experts and to take your golf or other questions. (No, you can't ask for her phone number or e-mail address guys, so just forget it!)
